The paper sheet former is an experimental device that uses the Rapid Kothen method to form paper pulp and perform rapid vacuum drying. The modern papermaking process can be divided into pulping, modulation, papermaking, processing and other main steps.

 

Step 1: Pulping process is the first step in papermaking. Generally, there are three methods for converting wood into pulp: mechanical pulping, chemical pulping and semi-chemical pulping.


Step 2: Modulation process The modulation of paper material is another focus of papermaking. The strength, color tone, printing quality and shelf life of the finished paper are directly related to it. The common modulation process can be roughly divided into the following three steps:

Step 3: Papermaking process The main work of the papermaking department is to evenly interweave and dehydrate the dilute paper material, and then dry, calender, roll paper, cut, select, and package

 

Step 4: Processing steps, the common process is as follows:
1. Paper material screening Dilute the modulated paper material to a lower concentration, and use the screening equipment to screen out the debris and undissociated fiber bundles again to maintain quality and protect the equipment
2. The net department makes the paper material flow out from the head box onto the circulating copper wire mesh or plastic mesh and evenly distribute and interweave.
3. The pressing part leads the wet paper removed from the mesh surface to two rollers with a felt cloth attached. Through the pressing of the rollers and the water absorption of the felt cloth, the wet paper is further dehydrated and the paper is made tighter to improve the paper surface and increase the strength.
4. Calendering Since the moisture content of the wet paper after pressing is still as high as 52-70%, it is no longer possible to use mechanical force to press out the moisture, so the wet paper is allowed to pass through the surface of many cylinders with hot steam inside to dry the paper.

6. Cutting, sorting and packaging: Take multiple rolls of paper that have been rolled into a cylinder, cut them into sheets of paper with a paper cutter, and then select them manually or mechanically to remove damaged or stained paper, and the entire papermaking process is considered complete.
